Small World Foundation
(SWF) is a non-profit 501©(3), organization founded in 1995 to
provide reconstructive surgery and medical aid for children and
adults throughout the developing world who have no access or
resources. Medical education, training and information exchange are
always an intimate part of our trips, and we plan to augment this
with the latest technological advances in telecommunication via live
telemedicine hookups.
We
are a faith-based, Judeo-Christian organization. We are
non-political and nondenominational. We believe there is one living
and true God eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the
Son and the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to serve and glorify God by
nurturing and caring for those less fortunate.
We believe that God is always present in our work.
We also believe that our abilities are a gift from God and what we
do with those abilities is our gift back to Him.

The well-documented disparities of medical services
between countries of the First World and those of the Developing
World are the target of attention for the Small World Foundation
- particularly with recent catastrophic events in Central America.
Since 1995, SWF has conducted three to four
medical missions per year to Central and South America and the
Middle East.
In particular cases where sophisticated treatment
was needed, SWF was instrumental in arranging for the
transportation and medical treatment in the United States.
Each medical mission team is comprised of volunteers
with varying specialties: plastic surgeons, prosthetics, nurses and
support personnel. If you would like to join us in our efforts,
contact us to find out when the next trip is scheduled and how you
can help.
